Yakuza 5 & Fist of the North Star super Slim PlayStation 3 consoles have been announced for Japan, the first custom designed consoles for the revised PS3.
The first bundle “PlayStation 3 Yakuza 5 Emblem Edition” will be available from December 6th, 2012 with a release price of 37,800 yen.
The “PlayStation 3 Yakuza 5 Emblem Edition” bundle comes with:
- PlayStation 3 4000 series model with 250GB hard drive and custom decal
- Matching gold and black DualShock 3 wireless controller
- A copy of Yakuza 5
- Yakuza 5 special beach towel
- Yakuza special 8GB USB drive loaded with digital content
- DualShock 3 custom sticker
The second bundle is the “PlayStation 3 Shin Hokuto Musou Legend Edition”, that’s Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 for the western market. Expected release date for December 20th 2012, priced at 33,170 yen.
The “PlayStation 3 Shin Hokuto Musou Legend Edition” comes with:
- PlayStation 3 4000 series model with 250GB hard drive and custom decal
- Big Dipper-decorated DualShock 3 wireless controller
- A copy of Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2
Customers that pre-order will also receive a smartphone pouch as a special offer. In addition, first-run units will come with a redeem code for an original costume for Kenshiro.
Both these bundles are only announced for Japan and will most likely stay that way. Given PlayStation 3 is region-free, I’d definitely consider one of these when I upgrade my PS3 down the line. Which design do you prefer?
