The Wii is still going strong with the Wii Mini out in November in the United States. For added holiday value, the Wii Mini will be available in a bundle with Mario Kart Wii.
Launched last year in Canada only, the Wii Mini has finally made it’s way throughout across the border into the U.S. The compact unit continues the legacy of the Wii console at an affordable SRP US$99.99.
Smaller and redesigned, the Wii Mini can play the entire 1,300 game catalogue of Wii titles. Red and matte black in design, it’ll come bundled with a red Wii Remote Plus controller, red Nunchuk and a copy of Mario Kart Wii.
Despite the console first bursting on to the scene in 2006 and already selling more than 100 million units, there is still a strong gamer base who prefer the Wii platform due to its family friendly nature.
To support the Wii Mini, Nintendo are offering a collection of Nintendo Selects Wii titles at a low price of $19.99 SRP, including classic titles such as uper Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario.
Even if you don’t live in the United States, this could spell great news for the rest of the world clammering for a PAL release if the Wii Mini can replicate some of the success of the Wii in years gone by.
The Wii Mini will be available at all good video game retailers just in time for the holiday season.
