Creators of the curious carnage, Popcap, have announced they will be jumping into battle once more, with a sequel to the iconic title coming next year – but rumour has it that this next foliage foray may not be a tower defense title.

Successful business man Crazy Dave, who made his fortune in the great Zombie attack, has teamed up with Ded-Jam Records to produce the hit song “Wabby Wabbo”. Featuring catchy lyrics you can’t get out of your brain and backing vocals by the controversial Disco Zombie, Wabby Wabbo is aiming to knock Laura Shigihara’s “Zombie on your Lawn” off the Plants vs. Zombies charts.
Last month we bought a rumour that PopCap was to be sold for approximately $1 billion dollars. Today Electronic Arts confirmed the rumour and speculation announcing the mobile/casual gaming publisher PopCap has indeed been acquired for less than initially reported, at a cool $750 million.
