Sick of cursing at the TV as some overpowered hot-shot snipes you from across the map with a pistol? Well Battlefield 3 players are being asked to stand up and fight against cheating by taking to the Battlelog and report instead of raging in silence. DICE have recently banned another several hundred players caught cheating and will be increasing their efforts to cut hacking, but they need your help.

The year 2012 is said to brings destruction and doom, and the new content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to live up to that promise. COD fans will be getting their hands on new maps starting January 24th on Xbox Live and the real fans – the true Elite – are the frontline.

Activision have today announced the Modern Warfare 3 Content Season for Call of Duty Elite, which will be nine months and at least 20 packs of downloadable content. First in for the new gear will be the Call of Duty Elite premium members on Xbox LIVE, to be followed by the other platforms.

Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) today announced that the first expansion for the free-to-play tactical strategy game, Magic: The Gathering – Tactics Secrets of Terisiare is now available. The new Secrets of Terisiare expansions means Planeswalkers can summon over 160 new figures and spells, new tactical game mechanics, chapters and tournament rewards.

There’s also an added bonus for players that log in between today and midnight PST on Friday Dec 16, and another for all open tournament participants from now through to midnight Sunday Dec 18th.

It has been announced that despite almost 2 million players, the Lego Universe MMO will be shutting down for good on January 31, 2012. The end of imagination, as some users are dubbing, is the result of the company being unable to make enough money from their “target group”.

For those wishing to take part in the game before it disappears for good, you can still sign up for the Free to Play aspects. Users who have subscribers up until, and beyond December 31, 2011 will also be given access to the full game for free in the final month of its life. Plus they will be given a refund on their remaining subscription.

  • Create costumes for up to 2 characters
  • Buy (almost) anything from the in-game store
  • Enjoy over 1,000 missions that will allow you to travel in time, visit alternate dimensions, and fight off alien invasions.
