Perdition takes players into the heart of an urban battleground, where tactical speed and situational awareness are essential to achieving victory. The Castle Map pack provides 9 new Achievements worth a total of 250 Gamerscore.

Focusing solely on multiplayer action, this cell-shaded shooter puts a promising new spin on map-selection and throws killer dobermans around like it’s nobody’s business; yet even with all its attempts at variety, can it really differentiate itself as something special or is it just another cover-based gun game trying to find space behind an already-crowded concrete barrier?

The year 2012 is said to brings destruction and doom, and the new content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to live up to that promise. COD fans will be getting their hands on new maps starting January 24th on Xbox Live and the real fans – the true Elite – are the frontline.

Activision have today announced the Modern Warfare 3 Content Season for Call of Duty Elite, which will be nine months and at least 20 packs of downloadable content. First in for the new gear will be the Call of Duty Elite premium members on Xbox LIVE, to be followed by the other platforms.

Epic and Microsoft have finally released the first Gears of War 3 DLC pack Horde Command, plus there are three more packs on the horizon including the free Versus Booster Map Pack. Previously set to be released yesterday, the DLC saw a delay due to “technical difficulties” however it has been given the all clear from Xbox Live’s Major Nelson.

The Horde Command DLC is worth 800 Microsoft points and gives players new fortifications such as Command Centers and Onyx guards dummy upgrades, new weapon skins, maps and the potential to earn up to 250 achievements points. On top of this you get three shiny new multiplayer characters.

If you own an Xbox 360 you have probably played Gears of War, and if you haven’t played it you have at least heard of it. If you haven’t heard of it, well, I’m sorry but I’m going to have to confiscate your Xbox.

Released in 2006, Gears of War was an early exclusive that gained a following for it’s co-op shooting fun and the simple joy of chain-sawing your enemies in half; and here we are at the end of the line. Gears of War 3 brings the series to a close with more cover-based shooting, extra game modes, excellent 4 player co-op time and a quality story (who woulda thunk it?)
