Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch on paper appears to be a perfect formula for J-RPG (Japanese Role-Playing Game) success. The coming together of industry leaders comprised of accomplished developer Level-5 with the celebrated, award-winning designs of Studio Ghibli and the extraordinary talent of composer Joe Hisaishi sounds like a marriage made in role-playing heaven, right? I’m happy to say the harmonious relationship here fuses together to create one of the most memorable J-RPG experiences in recent times.

Studio Ghibli is a powerhouse of animation, having captured the imagination of people world-wide with movies such as Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro and Howls Moving Castle (just to name a few). Now their signature art syle and wonderful worlds are coming the Playstation 3, as they team up with LEVEL-5 studios for the upcoming RPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.

Much to the delight of Ghilbli fans, this fantastic fantasy game will be coming to Australia early next year, with both the standard and collector’s edition available for preorder.

Level-5, the masters behind the Professor Layton series and Dragon Quest VIII, along with legendary Animation house Studio Ghibli are bringing their masterpiece Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch across to Europe on PlayStation 3 in 2012.

Namco Bandai will be publishing the Japanese inspired role-playing title that features a “potent blend of preeminent anime talent”. Character and animation is a collaborative work between Level-5 and Studio Ghibli, famously known for anime features My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away. The in-game music comes from the hand of Joe Hisaishi, the composer of the scores to over 100 films including many of Studio Ghibli’s greatest productions.
