Xbox Dashboard Update: Tv, Cloud Storage & More

Microsoft have teamed up with almost 40 world’s leading entertainment and TV providers to bring new live and on-demand features to the Xbox community. The new dashboard update is now available, giving you access to new features for TV, movies, music, sports and of course games experiences.

In Australia we’ll be seeing the appearance of applications for:

  • YouTube
  • ABC iView
  • SBS ON DEMAND
  • Crackle
  • Ninemsn

In addition to expanding the viewing experience on your Xbox Console, this update brings a new Metro-style dashboard, plus cool features like Profile Sync, Beacons and Kinect Voice Commands to Australia (about time).

A breath taking stop-motion short movie based on the characters from Final Fantasy VII has been garnishing loads of attention since it was first uploaded at the start of the month.

The short movie by YouTube user counter656 titled ‘Final Fantasy Stop motion- Sephiroth the World’s Enemy 世界毀滅者’ is nothing ‘short‘ (pun intended) of spectacular. John Huang, a 30 year old man from Taiwan has created an 8 minute tribute to Square Enix popular Final Fantasy VII RPG. Using figures acquired from Hobby Link Japan, John has created an epic battle of figurine porportions between Cloud and Sephiroth.
