This generation of puzzler fans have been saturated with sugar, with many a game featuring cute graphics and smiling happy times. Well if you’re looking something different, why not try Warp? This new top-down adventure puzzler offered by Trapdoor sees a deceptively adorable alien named Zero attempt to escape a secret laboratory. As the name suggests, the key game mechanic is the ability to warp short distances – through walls, into objects and well… people.

Portal was released in 2007 as a part of Valve’s gaming collection, The Orange Box and was an unexpected hit with many gamers considering it the highlight of the package. No mean feat when you take into account the package included one of the highest rated and most loved video games of all time and its two subsequent episodes, the long awaited follow up to the wildly successful online FPS, Team Fortress. Despite being a puzzle game of barely a few hours in length with no weapons; or combat, Portal managed to impress and win over gamers with its mind-bending puzzles, a terrific and outright hilarious sense of black humour, and one of the most memorable, and likable video game bosses in recent memory.

Rising Star Games have announced Jewel Legends: Tree of Life for the Nintendo DS will be available from June 24th, which happens to be today. Match-3 latest title in the Jewel series will provide fans countless hours of gameplay with over 100 levels to play through and 32 trophies to collect.

The central theme of the game revolves around rebuilding the world of the Hods in an attempt to help the Tree of Life flourish once more. Use building materials, jewels and valuables to create matching symbol row of three or more. Use ‘valuables’ to build structures for the Hods, ranging from Mushroom Farms to the Fountain of Wonder.
