After an initial delay, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Premium Edition arrived to the Australian shores on the 3rd of March, 2011.
Redeveloped from the original title released fifteen years ago on the Super Famicom, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together assembles the original developers who rebuilt the PlayStation Portable exclusive from the ground up adding new visuals, storyline, characters and gameplay.
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Premium Edition comes housed in a high quality matte finish cardboard with embossed lettering that snuggly fits all the contents inside. Opening the outer cardboard case reveals a copy of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, Official Mini Soundtrack and an Artbook.
Inside the game case is a UMD of the game, Manual, Product Registration Card and a Vagrant Story Download Code to receive 50% off when purchasing from the PlayStation Network (PSN).
The Official Mini Soundtrack comes in its own cardboard slip case. The disc is decorated with a pattern design reminiscent of Tactics Ogre and features six popular tracks from the game.
In my opinion the most impressive part of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Premium Edition is the 48-Page Hard Cover Artbook. The hard cover has a gloss coating and the contents inside have been printed on high quality paper.
Titled “The World of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together“, it features the art stylings and character design of acclaimed artist Akihiko Yoshida (Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII) with character illustrations, Tarot Card designs, banners and more. Truly a feast for the eyes.
Even fifteen years on, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together still stand strong as one of the top rated RPG’s of all time, a true testament to how to do an RPG right.
As part of Square Enix‘s rollout of special editions for their new PSP titles, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together received a Premium Edition release limited to a first print run.
A standard edition is currently not available but may be printed once the Premium Editions have sold out however once these Premium Editions are gone, they are gone for good. Don’t wait too long if you’re after a Premium Edition or you could be left clinging to nothing.
