E3 2011: Star Wars: The Old Republic E3 2011 Trailer

BioWare have showcased a brand spankin’ new E3 trailer for their long awaited MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The trailer gives a preview of whats to come in the galactic space adventure revealing cinematic storytelling reminiscent of the Mass Effect series.

Trailer also features a closer look at ‘heroic combat’ ranging from gunfire fights to close-range melee brawls as well as the obvious light saber fight thrown into the mix for good measure. Opponents are sized from human to ‘I will stomp you’ size creatures.

Companion characters can accompany your hero on their journey across the universe for interesting banter. No one wants to explore the galaxy alone right?

BioWare also reveal players can take charge of their own personal starship and navigate it straight in a battle amongst the asteroids and other space debris for particle charged dogfights in space.

With a galaxy of worlds to explore, vehicles to ride, new skills to learn and PvP combat, there’s guaranteed to be enough content to satisfy all types of gamers.

Star Wars: The Old Republic will incorporate a social hub to interact with fellow adventurers as you adventure alone or together in raids.

BioWare Austin and BioWare Edmonton are still currently working on the title that was first announced back on October 21st, 2008 with no release date as yet, but given a new trailer has come out for E3 and more updated news recently, the launch date can’t be too far away.

For now, sit back and enjoy what Star Wars: The Old Republic has to offer:
