Developed by Dimps, the Sonic Colours Limited Edition was only available in Europe and certain PAL territories. In Australia, most of the major retailers sold the Limited Edition whereas retailer Argos had exclusive rights for distribution in the UK and Ireland.

Packed in a bulkier Limited Edition housing cardboard housing with clear viewing window on the front. Included with a copy of Sonic Colours on Nintendo DS and an articulated Sonic figurine with a set of three Wisp figurines – Yellow Drill, Red Burst and Blue Cube. The Wii version comes with a different selection of Wisp figures compared with the DS release. All the figurines come packed on a piece of transparent plastic holding them in place.

Each Wisp can be connected to Sonic via the holes in each of his hands. He can only hold a maximum of two Wisps at a time so you’ll have to be careful not to lose the third Wisp since they are relatively small.

Sonic has posable joints in both his arms and legs, allowing for different positions when on display. The blue hedgehog isn’t the most stable however so careful will be needed to help get Sonic fully upright.

Obviously the other inclusion in the Limited Edition is a copy of the game which is packed neatly behind the figurines. Pricing wise, the difference between the Sonic Colours Limited Edition and the standard release was approximately $10 AUD so it’s really up to the buyer on how much the figurines are really worth. Being a PAL exclusive release and the thousand of Sonic fans around the world, the Sonic Colours Limited Edition is going to be a highly sort-after release as the years go by.

Still relatively inexpensive, I suggest you pick it up before prices start to rise on this one.
