Quickflix Available on Xbox 360 in Australia & New Zealand Later in 2012
Microsoft and media streaming service Quickflix has entered into a partnership to offer the Quickflix services on Xbox 360 in Australia & New Zealand later in 2012. Available for a monthly fee directly to Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers, you’ll be to enjoy services such as FOXTEL, SBS ON DEMAND, ABC iVIEW, ninemsn video, YouTube, FOOTY PLAY and VEVO, all on the comfort of your Xbox 360 console.
The agreement with Microsoft will give Quickflix’s customers even more ways to access its entertainment content, and adds to the growing range of devices enabled for Quickflix streaming, including smart TVs, game consoles, tablets, mobile phone, PCs and Apple Macs.
In a joint statement Quickflix’s Executive Chairman, Stephen Langsford, and CEO, Chris Taylor, said: “This is a great new partnership, and will bring the Quickflix streamed entertainment service to the Xbox community across both countries. We’re committed to making home entertainment easier for people, and this is our latest step towards providing people the biggest choice possible of how to watch the TV shows and movies they love–whether it’s on a mobile device, Smart TV or games console.”
Xbox 360 customers will join the growing number of TV and movie lovers accessing Quickflix’s range of Hollywood movies from studios such as Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, NBCUniversal, MGM, Lakeshore and Pinnacle Films and award-winning premium TV series from BBC, ITV and HBO.
Quickflix has already made the transistion to home console, offering the service on PlayStation 3 since December last year. Look out for the new service on you Xbox 360 Dashboard sometime later in the year.
