Portal 2 is the first-person puzzle shooter sequel to the critically acclaimed 2007 hit, Portal. Developed and published by Valve, Portal 2 received an Australian exclusive, the Portal 2 Cube Edition.

Exclusively available through EB Games Australia, the Portal 2 Cube Edition is packed in a unique-individually numbered promotional Cube Edition packaging with a copy of Portal 2 inside, as well as an official Portal 2 Rubik’s Cube.

Sadly the individual numbering on the box is nothing more than a printed sticker stuck to the side of the outer cardboard box.

Inside the Portal 2 Cube Edition is a cardboard insert that holds the Rubik‘s Cube in place with a copy of the game tucked underneath.

Included is a standard edition of Portal 2, with the PlayStation 3 version containing a code voucher allowing for play on PC or MAC, as well as Steam‘s ‘cloud‘ integration (code voucher not included in the PC or XBOX360 version).

The centre-piece of the Cube Edition is none other than the Portal 2 Rubik‘s Cube. Officially licensed, the cube is a standard size Rubik‘s Cube with the ‘Valve‘ logo on the top and bottom and the Portal 2 logo around the remaining sides alternating between black and white.

Considering the $108 AUD price tag, the Portal 2 Cube Edition doesn’t come cheap and being an Australian exclusive will make it highly collectible in the years to come for a game that has received glowing reviews thus far.

Portal 2 Cube Edition is no longer available for purchase on EB Games online, with very few quantities still available in-store. If you haven’t got ahold of a copy yet, you’d better put on your long fall boots and make a jump for it!
