Persona 3 Portable Collector’s Edition

Atlus’ popular Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series has been a cult hit for many years now. One of the finest examples of RPG story telling is the much loved Persona 3, first making an appearance on PlayStation 2 back in 2006.

Persona 3 Portable is a remake of the original Persona 3 specially made for the PlayStation Portable with new additions such as the option to play a female protagonist, new story elements, music and interface system. Translated to english, Persona 3 Portable was released in North America on July 6th 2010.

have since published the European PAL version on April 29th 2011, compiling together a Persona 3 Portable Collector’s Edition loaded with extras.

The Persona 3 Collector’s Edition comes shrink-wrapped in plastic with the contents housed in a graphically stylish Collector’s Edition Slipcase made of semi-hard cardboard. Once you take the contents out, you’ll notice the back image is a removable inlay that slides off the Slipcase covering rather easily.

So what are the contents? You’ll find a copy of Persona 3 Portable with manual on UMD format, a 48-page hardcover art book, a set of 6 Persona 3 Portable art cards and a folded A3 poster.

The 48-page hardcover artbook is a visual feast of developmental sketches, character designs, backgrounds settings, promotional art and even NPC art is included. The artbook alone is worth the extra money paid for the Collector’s Edition.

Each of the 6 art cards feature one of the main characters from the game and are individually numbered on the back. Printed on glossy paper, the characters are bought to life with this collectible inclusion.

Lastly is the A3 poster featuring a very well known artwork from Persona 3 Portable, incidently is also the same artwork used for the front cover of the hardcover artbook.

Once unfolded you’ll find you have yourself a rather huge poster perfect for displaying in your favourite room of the house. To get a better idea of its size, I took a photo of the poster unfolded next to the Collector’s Edition for reference. So yeah, its pretty big. ūüôā

Persona 3 Portable is still available for purchase via the Ghostlight Online Store located here. As with all Collector’s Editions, once its sold out you’ll be hard pressed finding one in tip-top shape so don’t dawdle and get yours before they are all gone.
