Not content with simply publishing cool new games, Sydney studio Nnooo have announced a brand new title for you to sink your teeth into. Blast Em’ Bunnies brings together the unexpected (but entertaining) combination of an endless shooter and adorable cartoon rabbits for your enjoyment. In addition to some colourful screenshots and cool trailer, Nnooo have been kind enough to bring the game to the EB Expo this weekend, so you can start ridding the world of some seriously evil rodents.
If the lads in Team Fortress 2 were ever to be reincarnated, I’m hoping they’d be a little something like these killer critters…
Defend your burrow from a horde of evil bunnies before they take you down! Pick them off using your carrot rifle, pelt their furry hides with your watermelon pip machine gun or wreak havoc with your runner bean rail gun. Want to destroy as many of their colony as possible? Your turnip mortar will do maximum splash damage. These crafty cottontails come in all shapes and sizes. Some of them can even fly, so you’ll need every weapon in your armoury to deal with this barbarous band of bitter bunnies. How they became evil, where they came from and who taught them to fly remains a mystery. But there’s no time to ponder these rabbit riddles, just grab your favourite weapon and…Blast ‘Em Bunnies!
This endless fluff-shooter offers players 8 different types of evil enemies to destroy, each with a special skill you need to be mindful of. One minute you’ll be mowing down a myriad of super-fast runners, the next stopping short some soaring sky bunnies. There are also 4 different types of weapons available to cater to your fluffy firearm needs, each with 4 different types of ammo that give you an edge in eliminating the enemy as well as various upgrades to maximise efficiency. The colourful and curious nature of this game seems sure to entertain, while the endless nature looks to offer hours of fun and some serious challenge.
Blast ‘Em Bunnies will be heading to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS in 2013; this digital download will be available in the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, with the price yet to be announced. To find out more about this bunny bopping bit of fun, head on over to Nnooo’s website; or if you’re raring for some rioting rabbit mayhem, head over to the Homegrown Gaming area at EB Expo this weekend to be one of the first to play it!
