Let it never be said that you don’t get enough CoD; Activision have confirmed the legitimacy of leaked box art and description for Call Of Duty Black Ops: Declassified on the Playstation Vita. The title was first mentioned at this year’s E3 with little details, however thanks to some eager online retailers the studio has let some secrets out.
The game appears to be a prequel to the Black Ops games, offering a completely new story, special ops mode and multiplayer customised for the Vita. Online retailers kindly broke the silence, with both Amazon and Wallmart introducing the game:
Before the future could be won, history had to be written. Exposing that story exclusively on PlayStation Vita, Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified explores original fiction in the Call of Duty Black Ops universe with an all-new campaign of Special Ops missions. Optimized for gamers on-the-go, Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified delivers the most intense handheld Call of Duty experience to date, including both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita.
The current recommended retail price is US $49.95, while Australian retailer EB Games has it set at AUS $68. At this stage no release date has been announced but it believed to be this year (both sites currently display the placeholder date of December 31, 2012).
