Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s, Premium & Special Editions Revealed

Warner Bros. have unveiled a range of Mortal Kombat X packages, including two Kollector’s Editions, a Premium Edition and a Special Edition for Australia.

The biggest and best of the bunch is the Mortal Kombat X: Kollector’s Edition by Coarse (exclusive to EB Games) which includes:


  • Exclusive Scorpion figurine and Certificate of Authenticity, designed by Coarse. Coarse has been recognized in Collector and Designer figure communities for their artistic approach, dedication to detail, and unique
  • storytelling through sculpture.
  • In-game Gold Scorpion Skin
  • Available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

With a RRP of AU$189.95, it isn’t cheap but you are guaranteed a very fine collectible to add to your figurine/statue collection. Interesting to note is the alternate outfit donned by Scorpion which may or may not please the Mortal Kombat devotees.

If you prefer a more traditional ninja style Scorpion, you may be interested in the Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s Edition, also exclusive to EB Games in Australia.

The Mortal Kombat X Kollector’s Edition includes:

  • Exclusive hand painted Scorpion figurine (28cm)
  • Unique steel pack and serialized steel card
  • Mortal Kombat X: Blood Ties Comic Book Volume 1
  • In-game Gold Scorpion Skin
  • Available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Prices will vary depending on platform, from AU$149.95 RRP (PC), AU$159.95 RRP (PS3, X360), to AU$169.95 (PS4, XBOX ONE).

In addition, all who pre-order the game from the below retailers will receive legendary fighter, Goro as a playable character. Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release on April 15th 2015.

If you don’t want any of the statues, you can pick up the Mortal Kombat X Special Edition (available at EB GAMES and JB HiFi) which includes:

  • Unique Steel Pack
  • Exclusive Scorpion Skin – this skin design, inspired by the Cold War, is a collaboration between NetherRealm Studios and a fan artist from the, a crowd-sourced destination where Mortal Kombat enthusiasts can upload, submit and share their MK-related art, images, cosplay, music and videos.
  • Available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Prices start from AU$89.95 RRP, right up to AU$109.95 RRP depending on your platform of choice.

The Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition is also available as a digital download only version that comes with a copy of Mortal Kombat X and The Kombat Pack. This will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC (AU$129.95 RRP), or via Steam for the same RRP price tag.

Both the Kollector’s Editions will be available internationally as well, throughout Europe and North America via Amazon and GameStop. Please check with your local retailer for release dates and availability.
