One of the biggest news from Capcom‘s Captivate event was the announcement of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition making its journey from the humble arcade cabinet right into your living room.
The definitive version – Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will be available as downloadable content for existing Super Street Fighter IV owners on June 7th at 1200 Microsoft Points for XBOX360 owners and $14.99 for PlayStation 3.
If you don’t already own Super Street Fighter IV, you can purchase a retail version when it is made available on June 24th to Europe and June 28th to the US of A. PC fighters will have to wait till July for the PC release.
Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will add 4 new players (Evil Ryu, Oni, Yun and Yang) to the exisitng 39 selectable character roster. All new characters will be available for play straight away without the need to unlock them.

An improved online mode and all-new balancing based on player information from the Arcade Version of the game will be introduced for a more level gameplay experience.
An updated replay channel will allow for viewers to follow up to 5 of their favourite players making it easy to watch how the best throw down. The new ‘My Channel Advanced‘ lets players share replay data with up to 50 other players.
If you want to learn from the creme-of-the-crop, a new Elite Channel will be available as well so you can watch player replay data of those with a rating greater than 3000PP.
