Nintendo Australia have confirmed amiibo will be restocked in Australia and New Zealand, due out in the coming months ahead.
Since launching in November last year, amiibo have been increasingly popular in Australia and New Zealand, selling out in most stores and locations within minutes of launch in some cases. If you were like me and were a day late to a launch day, you would have been met with empty shelves and disappointment everywhere.
With quantity is such short supply, Nintendo Australia have managed to source amiibos from other regions to replenish stock, however the packaging will differ from the AU/NZ packaging that has been available thus far. Stock and availability is limited in quantity, so you may want to pre-order to secure the figures you’re most after.
In addition to past amiibo releases returning in stock, the next line of “Super Mario Collection” amiibo will be due out for release on March 21st, including reposes of popular characters including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi and Bowser, as well as the introduction of Toad.
Joining the 29 amiibo already released in the Super Smash Bros. Collection – Robin, Lucina, Charizard, PAC-MAN, Ness and Wario are planned to be released in April.
This is great news for amiibo fans. Are there any amiibos that you missed out on that you’ll be looking to get your hands on?
