Early in the month Namco Bandai announced at Level Up the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Demon’s Souls will receive a special Limited Edition pre-order boxset.
Available on PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, the Dark Souls Limited Edition will be a free upgrade to those that pre-order the standard edition game ahead of its October 2011 launch.
- Dark Souls Standard Edition Game
- Game Guide
- Dark Souls – Behind The Scene Making Of Disc
- Dark Souls Bonus Soundtrack
- Limited Edition Folded Box
The contents closely match those that came with the Demon’s Souls Limited Edition. The inclusion of a game guide is a nice touch as anyone that has delved into Demon’s Souls will know this series is not for the feint hearted.
Also included in the Dark Souls Limited Edition is the original soundtrack featuring music from Dark Souls. The complete behind-the-scenes film series is shot in crisp HD and the hardback artbook is guaranteed to please fans featuring exclusive high quality images from the development team.
The Dark Souls Limited Edition is a must-have buy and given it is a free upgrade just for pre-ordering, you’d be mad not to run out there and throw your cash at your favourite retail outlet.
Only available in Europe, some retailers have already began taking pre-orders. Unfortunately none of those stores are located in Australia at the time of writing so keep your eye peeled for when pre-orders do open.
A special Dark Souls Collector’s Edition will be available for our North American friends that essentially includes the same contents, just sports a different name.
Stocks are limited and on a first come, first serve basis. Remember once these are gone, they are gone for good so don’t wait too long to make a decision.
