Sony have announced the PSP Vita will follow in the footsteps of the handhelds that came before it, as the console will be getting a new colour release: Crystal White.
This shiny PSP Vita is set for release 28th June in Japan, with a WiFi version priced at ¥24,980 (AUS $310) and the 3G/WiFi version at ¥29,980 ($373). For those among us conscious of colour-coordination, the matching white headset will also be hitting the shelves on the same day for ¥2000 ($25).
While the Crystal edition will likely grace Australian stores soon, there’s another variation worth mentioning that will unfortunately not make its way to us. A Limited Edition bundle featuring Hatsume Miku (初音ミク), the synthesized performer big in japan, will also be released in white with the unique character featured upon it.
In addition to the customised VITA, the bundle includes the Next Hatsune Miku Project Diva game. The WiFi versions will be retailing at ¥34,980 ($435) and the 3G/WiFi bundle for ¥39,800 ($498). A copy of the Next Hatsune Miku Diva game on its own is set for ¥7,329 ($91) retail or ¥6,600 ($82) as a download.
We’ll keep an eye out for when Crystal White decides to head to Australia, but until then at least we have the internets.
