The new voice and performance actress for the Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider reboot has been named, with Camilla Luddington chosen for the honour of bringing Lara Croft back, or is that to the past given its a prequel reboot of sorts?
International talent agents scoured Europe and the United States for a suitable talent. Luddington was chosen for both her depth of emotion and the youthfulness in her tone which she brings when taking on the persona of Lara Croft in the re-imagining title.
Some fans may know Luddington from her work on the series Californication, along with the current season of True Blood.
“This has been one of the most important jobs for us to get right,” said Darrell Gallagher, head of studio at Crystal Dynamics “‘This Tomb Raider game is very different to any other and we are demanding far more from the voice and performance acting than ever before as we take the franchise in a new direction.”
If you want to get up close and personal with Camilla Luddington, you’ll be able to see her in Nerd HQ and the Comic-Con panels in San Diego. She’ll be joining the development team as they talk about Tomb Raider and the story behind bringing the franchise back to life.
Tomb Raider is scheduled for release on March 5th, 2013.
