Call of Duty ELITE is an exclusive on-line service release on November 8, 2011 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It offers extra content for subscribers to enhance their gaming experience, it goes as far as customizing your classes on the go, so when you return home to your console you can jump straight into the action, without messing around.
It works in a similar way to Halo’s Bungie.net service, which offers a similar level of features for the hardcore gamer. This service however is split into two types of accounts, a free account and a premium account, the premium being the costly one. 21st of February 2012 has brought the 3rd Content Drop for Modern Warfare 3, a happy, happy day for all. Oh, except all the owners of a PlayStation 3. All those lovely PlayStation gamers will have to wait another month, yet again, and of course all those not subscribed to the premium Call of Duty Elite service will also have to wait until the later release date, anticipated for some time around March.
For those who aren’t aware, all PlayStation users will be receiving all of the DLC drops around a month after that of the Xbox LIVE users, this is due to a contract between Activision and Microsoft, basically stating that their content will be given to Microsoft users first, as some sort of sign of their alliance and dedication to Xbox 360 players.
