2K Games and Gearbox Software will be holding a special after-hours presentation: “The Past, Present and Future of Borderlands 2” during the PAX Australia weekend in Melbourne.
Gearbox, the acclaimed developers of the Borderlands franchise will be discussing the history and development of the popular shooter series. Bursting onto the scene back in 2009 and touted by industry professional as being sent out to die, Borderlands defied the odds with the series going on to sell 12 million copies worldwide, win countless Game of the Year awards, and establish itself in the highly competitive shooter genre.
For one night only, attendees will be able to hear straight from the developers on the concept behind the Borderlands universe, and the surprising last-minute art style change which has now become a permanent marker in the Borderlands franchise. Learn about behind the scenes production challenges and the transistion to Borderlands 2.
After the presentation, attendees can mingle with the Gearbox crew, grab a complimentary drink, as well as score some signed Borderlands merchandise. Full details on the event can be found below:
