2014 Pokémon Video Game Australian National Championships Is Coming

It’s not really a surprise to hear the Pokémon Video Game Australian National Championships are back for another year.

Nintendo Australia have confirmed the major event where fans from Australia and New Zealand can face off against each other for Pokemon Master stardom.

There’s plenty up for grabs, including a trip to the 2014 Pokémon Video Game World Championships in Washington, D.C. for the winners.

If you need a little polishing up before the Nationals, there will be Regional Championships held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland (NZ) where you can challenge some of the best players the country has to offer. The date of the Australian Nationals is still unconfirmed at this stage.

The National Championships will be played on Pokémon X and Pokémon Y titles for the 3DS, so you’ll want to make sure your best Pokémon are properly IV and EV trained before then. You have a bit of time to prepare as the 2014 Pokémon Video Game World Championships is scheduled later in the year on the 16th -17th August, 2014.

Official rules can be found at pokemon.com/play.

Are you going to take part in this year’s event?
